I could hardly believe our good fortune when Global Franchise Group – think Great American Cookies, Marble Slab Creamery, MaggieMoo’s Ice Cream & Pretzelmaker – invited us to be their guests for The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Built to Amaze show at Phillips Arena!!!
The littles (and Mommy and Daddy alike) were over the moon as we settled into our front row suite seats.
And before we knew it, the greatest show on earth was underway. The baby was particularly fond of the “built to amaze” part – think hard hats, hammers and bulldozers – given his penchant for all things construction related. And the PCP has now requested that we find him a unicycle basketball team (ummm…okay??). We stayed completely enamored throughout the show!
At intermission they set up a delightful buffet of hot dogs, chicken fingers, fruit, nuts, chips AND a giant Great American Cookie Company celebratory cookie cake. My very favorite for as long as I can remember!! There’s just no substitute :-)
And as if this spectacular experience wasn’t enough, we were sent home with a delightful goodie bag – full of shirts, coupons, CoOkIeS and more!!
It was a lovely, fun filled and memorable morning – and to think our original plans for the day consisted solely of Saturday morning cartoons :-) Our plans for the rest of the long weekend include a stint in the batting cage and a trip to *finally* see the LEGO Movie!!

What a fun opportunity – looks like y'all had a great time!
What a fun way to spend a Saturday morning! And yes, they make the BEST cookie cakes. We always counted on them for class parties.
How fun, looks like a fabulous outing and the circus is always the best. Hugs, Marty
How fun! Your boys must have been in heaven – what a special family day!
How fun ~ Looks like a fun time was had by all ..
What a great perk! Enjoy the Lego movie and be warned that you all will be singing "Everything is Awesome" for days!
What a fun outing!! And we love those cookie cakes too. When my daughter was prego, she ate a nice big piece of one and suddenly had a gall bladder attack!!
What fun – the boys must have been thrilled! My 10 year old saw the Lego movie last week and loved it. I forgot today was even a holiday – my boys are in school for a snow make up day..
