We spent a splendid six days of our spring break soaking up the sun, making new friends, relaxing, and relishing all of the fun things to do at the little known, tucked away Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort.
We relaxed on our marsh front porch…
We relaxed at the pools and beach…
And, we relaxed in the hammocks (and enjoyed a day with Mother and Daddy-O visiting) and adirondack chairs…
In between all that relaxing, we attended story times with B’lou Crabbe and the resident pup, Shadow…
We played pool, foosball, ping pong, corn hole, horseshoes and shuffleboard. Many, many times…
We swam and slid and participated in (and won a few) pool games – all day and for hours at night too…
And we swam at the beach (it was chilly)…
We spent a lovely evening at The Edmund’s Family Low Country Boil, full of face painting, games, trivia, live music, yummy food and a cake walk…
We grilled out most of the other evenings…
And indulged in some yummy treats too… (can you say Dole Whip?!?! Ahhh…)
We ran around on the playground and watched movies under the oaks at night. And then we ran around on the playground WHILE watching movies under the oaks at night (Frozen, Little Mermaid and Planes)
.
We spent a fantastic evening playing Goofy Bingo…
I ran with beautiful views (and I don’t even know myself anymore)…
We attended a seminar all about sharks and made shark tooth necklaces to take home…
We hung out in our villa, playing games, watching Disney movies, reading and relaxing…
We LOVED the marsh front camp fire fun, songs and s’mores…
We left the littles at Kid’s Night In and headed out on a date night… (they said it was the best night there)
We made Mickey tie-dye t-shirts…
And we made some great new friends!!! Pictured here are the (biggest) littles of Monograms ‘n Mud!!! So much fun to vacation with Amelia and her sweet family!!!
It was a truly wonderful and relaxed week full of good old fashioned family fun and togetherness. I think we will remember this spring break for a long, long time. And we will absolutely, positively be back. I’ll share all of the details on the resort tomorrow and open up a Q&A session like I did for the Disney Cruise last year.
See ya real soon, Disney Hilton Head!!

Looks like a fun time. We are off to HHI next week. I hope we have good weather!
Ahhh…wonderful. I've never stayed at one of the Disney resorts away from the park but have had my eyes on the one in Veto Beach. Think my littles…at 20 and 21(lol)…would love it as much as yours. We are Disney lovers, too.
Looks like fun! Disney sure knows how to have a good time! Were there any characters?
No characters :-)
What fun! You plan the best kid friendly vacations! I will have to put that place on my list. So impressed with the running too..

I'm an avid reader of your gorgeous blog from the north-west of England. I absolutely love Disney and this place looks incredible! Looks like you had the most amazing time x
What a relaxing, good old-fashioned vacation! In your overview, please fill us in on the Date Night options available. It's too funny that the littles said it was their favorite night after all that! :)

You had me at resort; however, I am not sure if a Disney one is my kind of resort—kids!!!! LOL!!!! It looks beautiful. Love your anchor jacket!!!! W is a good sport:) Miss ya girlie! xo
Truly a wonderful vacation spot…kids are still talking about it. Wish we had been there longer to enjoy all they had to offer.
Hugs to Whit from my two who have deemed him "one cool kid". I think he convinced them that we will be seeing each other next spring break–lol.
XO
Looks like fun!! Some friends of ours stayed at the Disney resort in Hawaii and had a blast. They live in Jacksonville and have year round passes to Disney World!! What a life!!( They are empty nesters who still love all things Disney!).
we were there this past may and your post makes me miss it so much! you really can't go wrong with disney…

Y'all need to join the Disney Vacation Club!! Best purchase we ever made :-)
What a beautiful time! Disney sure knows how to do it right, don't they? Thanks for sharing your vacation with us.
BTW, we loved our short weekend stint at the Disney's Vero Beach resort. It was so neat experiencing 'Disney' out of Orlando and on the beach. That resort did offer one character breakfast with Goofy and Donald on Saturday morning, but other than that, we were pleasantly surprised at how it wasn't overly 'kiddy' at all. You almost wouldn't know it was a Disney property.
Looks like a great time! We are planning to head to the Disney resort in Hawaii next year. Hope to try Hilton Head too.
I am curious if you had to pay for the extra activities like the tie dye or s'mores.
Amanda, Love your top with the anchors on it, so cute! Where did it come from? Also, we have been DVC members for over 10 years and HHI is our home base, just love it there, even though our kids are in there 20's we still go every few years. Will come in handy when we are blessed with grand kids some day.
Thanks, Susan
