And I thought it would be fun to show a few #TBT Disney style pictures I came across at Mother and Daddy-O’s house this summer. Remember when you could just walk right up to Mickey? No 180 days worth of planning or strategically scheduled fast passes back then.
Sister and I adored the trolleys on Main Street. And I’m sure some of y’all had those Disney visors.
The animal topiaries were the first sign you’d hit the most magical place on earth. That and the fact that Daddy-O would turn the dial to the Disney radio station. Such amazing memories coming down that long road with anticipation of the fun that would lie ahead!!
And then there was our grad night trip. SO much fun!!! If only I could find the pics from a college trip with big sis :-)
Oh, and I had to sneak this one in of Mother’s 40th birthday!! (A sketchy) Mickey delivered balloons and a diamond ring to the Pirate’s House for dinner. Don’t think for a second that I won’t be celebrating my own 40th with the mouse.
Now we’re making our own Disney memories with the littles.
Y’all know that I think there’s no place more magical than Disney. I am beside myself with excitement over our next visit!!!
xoxo
Hi, um, not to sound too out of touch, but what exactly are those bracelets?? They kind of look like my Nike fit bracelet—are they some kind of Disney fit bracelet :)?
Thanks
They are magic bands – the room key, park ticket, etc :-)
You totally crack me up!!! Your Disney mania is refreshing to this former cast member turned Georgia girl :)
My mom, Melanie, ordered autograph books for my two littles. We leave in 10 days on our Dream Cruise! Can't wait…and praying for good weather!
How fun to see your Disney history! Too, too cute! Your forever young heart is exactly what Mr. Disney dreamed. Nice touch on the diamond, Daddy-O ("Sketchy Mickey" aside!) You all are just too fabulous.

I celebrated my 40th at Disney this year in April! Without the four children!!! My sweet husband and I had an Amazing time! I highly recommend it!
Awwww……….you brought tears and smiles to my heart this morning. I am so glad that Daddy-O and I gave you 2 some happy memories, because y'all gave us so many. And that pic of you and little sis holding the reins of the horse on the trolley! And even the sketchy Mickey. So many treasured times together.
Love, Marme
Did you see that they added a Villans soiree dessert party at MNSSHP.
Fun! We are headed down to the Not So Scary Halloween Party in October for the first time. This is the first year we are also buying annual passes since we now live in Florida. It has been about 4 years since we have been and I am not sure I "get" all the new changes.
We are a Disney family as well. We were blown away at the character meet and greet, when we visited last month, to find that Mickey is actually speaking to the visitors now! A real surprise for sure. The grand kids loved that. Can't wait to go back in October to the Food and Wine Fest. to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary!
