We had fast passes for our favorite rides, so we spent the first hour or so trying some new things. The Great Movie Ride was a hit all around! Anything that starts with a glance of Scarlett’s picnic dress is bound to be good.
What truly made the day was that Hollywood Studios was completely FROZEN over, and we had splurged on tickets for the FROZEN Premium Package, including reserved and prime viewing areas for the morning processional, sing-a-long and fireworks. The mini-parade/processional rolled at 11a.m. and we enjoyed all you could eat Mickey bars, frozen lemonades and soft drinks while we waited.
The rain let up just in time for the processional of Arendelle’s royalty.
Kristoff was nothing if not handsome.
And I got chills when Anna and Elsa rolled up in their horse drawn carriage.
They stopped right in front of us and then took the stage for a little show.
Afterwards we headed back to catch more rides, shows and meet characters.
We had fast passes for Rockin’ Rollercoaster so John got to ride twice with each of us. The baby made a gazillion pressed pennies and gobbled up the bottoms of all four of our popcorn boxes.
Tower of Terror was next on our agenda. SO MUCH FUN that we did it twice!! I think this is my favorite attraction in Hollywood Studios.
When we came off, we had the GREAT pleasure of finally getting to meet Disneyfied Ash and her fiancee!!! We share a deep love of Lilly and Mickey and I have adored following her on Instagram for the last year. She was every bit as cute and FUN in person as I had expected.
They joined us on our trek over the Muppets and she was such a doll to point out so many of the fun and unique little touches in the park on the way there. The littles adored her and are still talking about how Miss Ashley knew to look under the mat at Muppets for the key :-) We parted ways in the Streets of America but look forward to meeting up again soon.
One of my very favorite snacks of all time had to be the carrot cake “cookie” at the Writer’s Stop. I never would have gone in if it weren’t for Ashley!! SO YUMMY!!
As part of our FROZEN package we got to pick reserved seats for the sing-a-long. It was so nice to walk right up to the second row!!!
The show was just darling – funny for the adults and entertaining for the littles.
We literally sang our hearts out – Honey included.
And when the snow came down it was pure magic. The littles faces lit up in delight!!
We headed over to Wandering Oaken Trading Post for some fun pictures and to check out the ice arena. We didn’t skate, but we did have fun with their Aurasma App and magic shots.
We ate supper at the Sci-Fi Dine in for the first time and loved every second!! The burger and shakes were super yummy and the whole concept of campy movies and dining in “cars” was fun.
After a few more rides, we headed to the FROZEN Fireworks and Dessert Party that was part of our package. There was a fun stage show with great music, drinks, cocktails and desserts to kick off the night.
That light up ice cube came to be one of the highlights of the day for the baby. He danced his heart out with the thing all.night.long.
When it was finally time for the fireworks, Anna, Elsa and Kristoff took the stage for another little show and singing.
And they lit up the night with one of the best fireworks shows set to music that we’ve ever seen.
And then it snowed again. Seriously… it was just the best day ever!
We left the park late and very happy under snow and palm trees. It just doesn’t get better than this.
I’ve got just one last day to fill y’all in on!!
xoxo
So much fun! I love the funny faces on the Rockin Rollercoaster (and the abundance of smiles all around). And the carrot cake cookie looks absolutely delicious! xo
What a fantastic jam packed trip!!
The lady in the front row in the first Tower of Terror picture- cracking me up! I am almost (but not enough to change my plans) sad that I am going on a cruise instead of to the World in November. This trip looks amazing.
I am so getting one of those carrot cake cookies when I go!!
Kristen in Boston
Ya'll are the cutest! Landry would have DIED with so many Elsa and Anna sightings!!!
Amanda, you mentioned you purchased the waterpark fun and more ticket package. How many days of theme parks did you purchase? We're going for 7 days and would like to fit in both Waterparks. It's overwhelming trying to fit everything in! PS which Alex and Ani bracelet did you buy? I noticed it on your wrist! ;-) loving the trip report! Marie
Great question! We were there for 9 days and did just a 3 day with waterpark fun and more. This got us into 3 main parks and then we did two water parks. With the third waterpark day we were planning to do Disney Quest. However, our package came with 2 free admissions to Quest and 2 free mini golfs. So, two we used those to go to both places. Honey and John used their 3rd waterpark fun and more for quest and Whit and I used the free coupons. We did the opposite for mini golf – Whit and I used our 3rd waterpark fun and mores and Honey and John used the free coupons. Make sense?
I bought Animal Kingdom this for this trip and had Magic Kingdom. Bestie S picked me up Anna and Elsa when she found them in Hollywood Studios! I really want Epcot and HS now. And I'd love to see a cruise line one come out :-)
Love it!! Are you watching Once Upon a Time? It's incredible for Disney fans. I thought the addition of Elsa and Anna this season would be a little hokey, but I'm in love with it! Can't wait until next week's episode!
I just got into the series this summer. It is SOOO good! I loved Anna and Elsa in the season opener too :-)
Wow! The Frozen package at H.S looks amazing!! Enjoying your Disney posts :) I love the Tower of Terror too! Haven't been able to talk my 7 year old onto it the past 3 years :(***
how did you book your frozen package? i tried dining reservations, but couldn't find it….HELP :)
I saw it in the Disney parks blog and called to book. I think the regular dining number. It was only through last weekend unless it was extended :-(
It looks like you love roller coasters and your husband, not so much??? His face on the Tower of Terror reminds me of my husbands. :)
