Our fast passes didn’t start until around lunch time, so we meandered around for the morning, bumping into Stitch and taking a ride on the People Mover to give Mother a bird’s-eye view of how things have changed in 20 years!
We jokingly called it the day of interesting characters because after bumping into Stitch we almost walked up to Fairy Godmother, who none of us had ever previously met. She was LOVELY and we all got a good laugh when she asked if our two princes would be a good match for the stepsisters. I told her I’ve got my sights set on Cindy. :-)
We hit all of the classic favorites in Fantasyland, including It’s a Small World and Peter Pan.
And then we made our way to Be Our Guest for lunch!!!
Afterwards we did a spin on the Teacups (should have done that before lunch!) and then we walked out to meet another “interesting” character, the White Rabbit!
We had a fast pass for Buzz Lightyear, where Mother took on Whit, Sister and Bird paired up (their photo didn’t come through) and I was OYO. We also did the Carousel of Progress and Monsters Inc Laugh Floor.
Our last fast pass of the day was for Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train. *squeal* Everyone loved it!!
At this point we staked out a spot on Main Street for the Festival of Fantasy Parade and all gobbled up Mickey ice cream cones.
I could watch this parade a million times and it would never get old.
Since we were already on Main Street, we headed to meet Mickey in Town Square!!!
And Mother treated the littles to their “Stuffie” animals (from Doc McStuffins).
In Storybook Circus we did Dumbo. It was my first time waiting with any bit of a line, so I loved seeing the little play area inside, even if we were only there for about five minutes.
On our way back to Town Square, I was SO excited to bump into Brett from Disney After Dark!!!
As our full day drew to a close, we did dinner at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant. We were leery because it consistently receives poor reviews, but we ALL LOVED IT!!!! It was cute – with a heart a and paw prints outside and a darling fountain indoors. There was a nice space to wait in, with a TV playing cartoons. We were seated promptly and our server was great. Our food was surprisingly yummy. Between us, we had the butternut squash soup (which Sister proclaimed the best ever), the spaghetti and meatballs, and the tomato mozzarella salad. We will definitely dine here again, and reservations are usually available. Next time I will request to be seated at a window overlooking Main Street.
On our way out of the park we caught the Main Street Electric Parade – another classic that hasn’t changed much in 20 years.
It was such a fun day!!! And we went to bed excited to do it all over again!!!

We just tried Tony's Town Square Restaurant on our trip in January and enjoyed it too! We booked our trip last minute and none of the restaurants I wanted were available so we decided to try it. I actually made the reservations on my phone through the My Disney Experience App the same day. I would definitely eat there again.
Love your blog — what a fun trip! Did you make the t-shirts? So cute!
The boy's shirts and our fleeces are all by hkl designs!
How was the meal at Be Our Guest? Does it live up to the hoopla? We couldn't get in last time we were there and I am wondering if I should go ahead and make reservations for our upcoming visit.
We did lunch and it was yummy!!! Only done dinner once but would def do that again too. If you can get in I would definitely go!!!!!
What a lovely trip to take with your mom! I love the pink bag you are wearing. Seems like a great "Disney" bag for the parks. Are you willing to share the deets? Thanks! Dorie
So much fun!!
I miss being in driving distance to Disney. Where did you find starbucks coffee? I didn't think they had it anywhere in the park. Where do you usually get the disney clothing your boys are wearing?
So fun! Loved seeing all the pics of Jay and Whit together in their matching outfits. Loved the camp pants! Can't wait to see more of your trip.
What a fun trip! We ate at Tony's Town Square a few years ago and my boys loved it. I thought the place was adorable and we were happy with the food.

We enjoyed Tony's. Certainly not the best, but it was great to us!
A little more than three weeks for our trip and I'm so excited!! Rick and I enjoying the magic for 6 days by ourselves- though some people think we are crazy to go without our kids! Haha!! ? We too have never understood why Tony's has such poor reviews. Next time you go, plan it for a later dinner and ask to sit on the porch for a great view of the electrical parade!!
