There is something surreal about making your way through Epcot and watching the sun rise. Mother Nature delivered on the “frozen” part of the Frozen 5k. I think it was about 30 degrees. My Pocohantas costume was way cuter when it was a tank top and little tutu.
The cast members, music and characters make the three miles seem short.
And before we knew it, we were DONE!!
Let’s face it, the race is all about the tutu and the snack box for our group.
We were back at Caribbean Beach at the hour when we’d usually just be waking up. It was B’s birthday, so we had cookie cake for breakfast.
After a quick shower, we were on our way to Hollywood Studios!!!!
The first stop was the Trolley Car Café for fuel…
We spent the morning catching some favorite rides…
We HAD to check out Cinderella’s gorgeous carriage from the new live action film. I cannot wait to see it!!!
We had a hysterical encounter with these two. You can’t see it, but he has a little donut inside of that box and it says “In case of emergency, break glass”. He caught our attention when we were walking by and he said “Happy Birthday BETH!!!” and yelled the BETH! at the top of his lungs because of the exclamation point on her button. It’s one of those moments that is hard to relay, but we didn’t stop saying it the rest of the trip.
Next up was the Tower of Terror, also known as the Tip Top Club, The Tower of Fun and the Hellevator amongst our crew.
At this point, we hopped over to Magic Kingdom just in time to catch the Festival of Fantasy parade in Town Square. I could watch this a thousand times and never tire of it. By the way, every time I’ve caught a parade in Town Square it has been so much less crowded than anywhere else in the park.
I had never noticed the spinning wheel in the middle of the dragon’s belly. It’s details like this that make Disney so magical.
After the parade we grabbed Dole Whips and popcorns. I cannot bear to come to the Magic Kingdom and not get one… even when it’s freezing cold outside.
We continued on to Thunder Mountain, Enchanted Tales with Belle, the Mine Train and Space Mountain. We had dinner at Pinocchio Village Haus for the first time and it was yummy!! I had the caprese flatbread and would definitely do it again. The seating to the left of the counter where you order overlooks the boat launch to It’s a Small World. My littles would LOVE that and I can’t wait to take them back!!
It was a truly magical day with my oldest friends in the world (we’re going on 35 years together)!! We logged 12 miles on the fitbit and, needless to say, were out like lights when we got back to the resort.
xoxo

How fun to be there with lifetime friends! ☺️
OMG! It looks like you had a fun/full day! Cinderella's carriage looks incredible. We are going to be there the weekend right after the movie opens. I'm so excited for it to come out also! As I watched Rose on Downton last night I started to get more excited. Here is the big question…Do you think they are going to change the iconic dress at Disney? The one in the movie is different than the classic. The new dress is beautiful. I know no one else who would geek out over this with me so I had to ask your opinion. :-)
eek!! It is a gorgeous dress in the new film. I saw that they are selling both now. The classic Cinderella and then the one from the live action film. It's a limited edition for $199. Gulp! The wedding dress is $99 but it's not as pretty. I wish I could justify spending that on one for CeeCee. But, alas, I cannot :-) http://www.disneystore.com/cinderella-limited-edition-costume-for-girls-live-action-film/mp/1371473/1000395/
Looks like a blast, I want to do runDisney event now :) Thanks for sharing…
What a whirlwind! Your costumes are adorable!!
Please, please, PLEASE swing by and get me on your next trip to Disney!!! Good job on the race & a Dole Whip is a MUST, even when it's cold. Have a great week!
Pinocchio's Village Haus is our favorite! We eat lunch there every single trip. Then run over to It's a Small World. Congratulations on the races!!! Y'all were precious! We were in Downtown Disney freezing our booties off that day!! It was gorgeous, but the wind made it crazy!!
