We lucked out on Pirate Night with Donald and Goofy our very first evening.
We were totally silly at the camp fire – singing songs and making s’mores!
We spent the better part of every day camped out pool side, enjoying alfresco lunches, pool games and the warm sun on our faces!
Team “Lady and the Tramps” took first place in the Geo Scavenger Hunt!
We checked out movies, games and puzzles every night …
…and dined alfresco on our lovely little patio.
We traded pins each and every day.
We sent the littles to Discovery Club one evening for three hours of adventure…
…while we enjoyed date night overlooking the beach.
We played billiards, ping pong and shuffleboard…
…and won unlimited rounds of mini golf from our scavenger hunt! (Normally $2 for guests, $1 for DVC members and free on Thursdays.)
Honey and I got to sit by the pool while the littles were entertained with pool parties, waterslide races, and a kid’s only Unbirthday Party…
…we had our daily dose of Dole Whip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We cooled off in the x-box lounge. I mean, the littles had been three days without.
We completed two other scavenger hunts around the resort as well!!
The littles were so content at the pool, that we only walked on the beach.
It was a lovely, laid back time filled with fun and family. And a king sized bed with air conditioning and a bathroom never felt so luxurious :-) I’ll try to give a good overview of the resort and answer any questions tomorrow!!! I’ve got one more leg of the trip to fill y’all in on as well!!!

Amanda,
What a fun trip!! I was wondering, where did you get your pink Lilly Pulitzer monogrammed tank top? Also, do they run true to size? Thanks for sharing your vacation with us!!
Emma
Hi Emma – my mom made it from a target tank top. I ordered the fabric to match my shorts on etsy :-)
Your Mom is SO talented Amanda :) Thanks for replying!!
Thank you for posting about this resort, we've always wondered it we should stay here. If Dole Whips are served, this almost seals the deal, and they really have a lot of activities! It doesn't look like it was crowded either, which is nice. Love all your Disney posts. Have a great weekend!
What a change after camping – much more my style! xoxo
I've been reading all your Disney trip recaps and am loving them :) First, you are a trooper for camping but you're right, anything for our kids! We are heading to Disney in a few weeks and staying at AK, I cannot wait! It's our first time and our kids are still kind of small, but next trip (hopefully in a couple years!!) I want to split it like you did and spend some time at Vero Beach, looks like there is so much awesome stuff to do!! Glad you all had an amazing vacation :)
