On The Little’s Bedside {Cottage In The Park}

I’m super excited to share a hand full of fab finds over the next week or so.  I was delighted to discover the Cottage In The Park series of children’s books by Atlanta author Debbie Rankin.  While John is a very independent reader, I still relish my bedtime story time with Whit each and every night.  It’s probably the best part of my day, in all honesty… snuggled up in his twin sized bed just me and my baby.  He reads to me, I read to him, we talk about our days, and I demand a thousand kisses, of course.  I love finding new things to read, and he loves nature so these books are already favorites.

I am Debbie Rankin and live in a wonderful neighborhood. I lovingly call our home The Cottage In The Park. The cottage is nestled among trees, bushes and flowers. Just about every bird that lives year-round or migrates through the area surrounding Atlanta, Georgia you will find outside the cottage. That goes for bees, butterflies, dragonflies, crickets and grasshoppers, too! I guess I can’t leave out spiders, frogs, geckos, and snakes, and not to mention raccoons and opossums! And, oh my gosh, how could I forget the squirrels and chipmunks?  All of the Cottage In The Park stories are based on true happenings.

We started with The Squirrel Who Almost Stole Halloween, because we do love our holidays.  It was a sweet twist on the monsters and goblins that are currently stacked up on our bedside.

And there are currently two others in the series… Butch the Blue Jay (which we shared with Jay Bird) and Warbie.

You can find Cottage In The Park books on Amazon, but Debbie also sells signed books through her website.  The only thing I love more than a book is a signed book :-)

I hope y’all enjoy these as much as we have!  Have a lovely weekend… we are off to two lacrosse games and will be cheering on the Yellow Jackets tonight!  GO TECH!!!
xoxo

  1. I love learning about this series. Perhaps Santa can fill a stocking at my house with a couple of the books.

  2. After I initially commented I seem to have clicked the -Notify me
    when new comments are added- checkbox and now every time a comment is added I get four emails
    with the same comment. Is there a way you are able to remove
    me from that service? Thanks!

    1. I’m so sorry… I don’t know how to fix this. Is there an unsubscribe button on the email? I can’t even figure out where this list is stored.
