Cheese for One, Please

Every now and then it’s five thirty, homework is done, there are no sports, dinner is in the oven and Honey is nearly home.  And those rare occasions always call for a celebration.  The grapes are delish this time of the year, and a new-to-me piece of cinnamon dusted toscano cheese practically leaped into my buggy.  Add a glass of sparkling water and all was right in the world!

My sweet friend Tricia of HKL Designs treated me to a this darling mini square cutting board, perfect for a cocktail bar or appetizer.  The monogram is on the underside, so the cutting side is still good for regular use!

My sweet co-room mom last year gave me the darling swizzle sticks.  I love them so much!!  They are from Gnome Sweet Gnome shop and come in a variety of designs and colors.

Here’s to hoping many more of these early evenings are on the horizon as sports are relatively slow at the moment and the holidays are behind us!

    1. Yes, it is!!!! Darn. This was an old one rescued from my draft folder. The grapes probably aren’t so good right now either :-)

  1. Absolutely perfect for that little peaceful time by yourself, rare as it may be. And since it is so rare, it has to be perfect. I love the mini cutting board… what a perfect size for some cheese and grapes. I love the little cheese knife. The white piece… is that a napkin or is that a tile “coaster” that has been monogrammed?

I hope you enjoyed you “me” time and it remained peaceful! Have a blessed remainder of the day!

  2. There are perhaps two other people I know who live on this side of the Atlantic that drink sparkling water with no flavor in it. I actually shared a bottle with a class of mine this winter (even though I told them over and over again that it wasn’t Sprite or ginger ale or something else soda-like they didn’t believe me). Every time I open a bottle in class now kids grimace around the room in pure disgust. :). Kudos!
