Bye, Hermine

We were a little worried all week that Hermine would disrupt our plans to travel home to Savannah for the long weekend.  As luck would have it, she rolled in and out and both my parent’s and Sister’s places were spared any damage at all.  We’ve had the most gorgeous weather.  Our first day the ocean was as calm and still as a pool.  The littles also occupied themselves digging (and then filling back in) GIANT holes in the sand.  It was pretty glorious to sit in a chair for hours on end while they played.

Things picked up the second day and the littles were excited for the waves.  Cookie was so excited, in fact, that he threw his swim clothes on completely inside out.  :-)  The littles again worked diligently on their giant holes.

I’m so thankful for this time with the family and to be soaking up the last few official days of summer.
