One of our very favorite date night excursions is to head in to town for dinner and movie with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra!!
We love Twelve Eighty located right at the Woodruff Arts Center and literally next door to the concert hall entrance. We don’t find it to be outrageously expensive and we love the food and atmosphere. On concert or event nights you definitely want to make a reservation as far in advance as possible. We dined at 6PM for a concert at 8PM and had a lovely, leisurely dinner. We walked out of 1280 at 7:52 and were in our seats before the show started. Also, be sure to just park in the Woodruff deck below the complex. It is $15 after 5PM and we’ve never had trouble getting a space when arriving early enough for dinner.
Costumes were encouraged for The Nightmare Before Christmas so we did a little reprise (sans makeup) from our Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party last year.
The ASO movie series are fantastic!! They show the movie on a big screen while playing the entire score live while you watch. I really can’t recommend them enough!
Have a great weekend, y’all!!! We have more Halloween family fun tonight!!
