Disney Coffee with Character {Where to Find It, How to DIY and a Giveaway}

UPDATE: This giveaway is now closed. The four randomly chosen winners are….Leah PS – going to Disney in July; Tania – who loves Thunder Mountain; Liz – Four Season Family (yay!); Christie – loves Soarin’ and has a nepresso.  Email me at [email protected] with your mailing addresses!

I love finding little touches of pixie dust in every Disney destination.  One of my very favorites is coffee with character.  I’ll tell you where to find it, how to make your very own, and do a little giveaway!!

Joffrey’s Coffee at Disney Springs

Joffrey’s Coffee at Disney World is my favorite.  Even more so than Starbucks!  At the Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company Disney Springs location, you’ll find printed lattes with a variety of different character art.  I love starting my Disney day like this!

Vista Cafe on Disney Cruise Line

At the Vista Cafe on Disney Cruise Line, specifically the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, you can have Mickey dusted right on to the top of your cappuccino!  While you can certainly find complimentary coffee in the restaurants, the offerings at Vista Cafe are so much better, come with a complimentary pastry and only cost a few dollars charged to your shipboard account.

Disney Coffee At Home

I’ve had this easy little project on my mind for months and finally made it happen.  After observing the barista on the Disney Dream make my cappuccino each morning, I knew I could come up with a way to have pixie dusted coffee with character at home!  Here’s how…

First, I ran an empty pouch through my laminating machine to get something to use for my stencil.  I wanted something sturdy that could be cleaned off after each use.  So far, I’ve made about 6 cappuccinos and it’s held up just fine.

Then I measured my cappuccino cups to know how big to make my stencil (about 2.5″ at the widest point).  I loaded a Mickey silhouette image to my Cricut and converted it to be a cut file.  I put my laminated sheet on the cutting matte and set the dial to the thickest option (poster board).  When it finished, I trimmed it down to nicely fit over the top of my cappuccino cups and easily store in the kitchen drawer.

Cricut Explore Air 2  |  Paper Trimmer

After brewing my beverage and frothing my sweetened milk, I simply laid the template across the top of my cup and used a fine mesh shaker filled with cocoa powder to pixie dust the coffee!!  By the way, I have LOVED the Nepresso.  I still use my Keurig in the morning but I love this as a special treat and when we have company.

Fine Mesh Shaker  |  Beverage Stirrer  |  Nespresso CitiZ & Milk Espresso Machine

Mother was my very first recipient of at home coffee with character!!  I was insanely excited with the way it turned out!!

For my fellow crafters, you can right click and save the image I used below.  Just upload it to your Cricut (or similar machine) and save it as a cut file.

Now, I have FOUR more of these templates that I’d love to ship to a few of you who love Disney the way we do.  They are nothing fancy but I figured I’d make use of the whole sheet while I was making them.  To enter the giveaway, just leave a comment letting me know your favorite Disney attraction.  It will take me a few weeks to get them in the mail because I need to leave it open for a few days and then I’m headed on vacation.  This giveaway is open to US mailing addresses only.

Hope your Monday was magical :-)

  22. Goodness, what a fun way to start any day, and to bring Disney to each morning. It’s hard to pick just one but I think I would have to say Haunted Mansion…I remember riding four times in a row with my grandfather back in the early 1980s…and now riding with my own parents and children. Just the right amount of spooky for us!

  23. Thanks for the opportunity. My favorite life long attraction is a toss up between Haunted Mansion and Small World. It never gets old.

  25. This is such a cute idea!! I love having a little bit of Disney magic in every day. It’s hard to choose a favorite attraction, but the one that means the most to me is Journey into Imagination with Figment!! I made my parents ride that ride back to back way too many times when I was younger! (If it was my choice, I wish Disney would bring back the old version with Dreamfinder!)

  26. So fun! My favorite attraction is probably Space Mountain- it’s the first ride I remember going on with my dad on my very first trip to WDW as a child. And I loved riding it with my sister on our girls trip a couple weeks ago- the first time she had been in almost 30 years!
