Musings

Ballard Designs opened up a new store here in Atlanta and it is SO beautiful!  Sister and I made a date of exploring every item.  She is a very bad influence when it comes to shopping and I came home with both this mirror…

… and this “pot filler” that I too will be using as a centerpiece on my dining room table.  She tried to get me to buy everything on the table but I exhibited a bit of restraint.  Ha!

My sole souvenir from my Adventures by Disney Germany trip (other than a couple of Christmas ornaments) arrived and I cannot wait to unbox it for Christmas.  My kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Browne, had a Christmas pyramid in her home when we were kids and I was mesmerized by it.  (Mother was also a kindergarten teacher, hence why I was at my teacher’s home.) I have wanted one of my own really my entire adult life so it was the perfect thing to remember Germany by!

Honey was at home one day last week when his car was in the shop and we went on a rare weekday date.  To Waffle House.  We were made for each other.  <3

Happiest Tees on Earth has been sharing this “Cinderella Latte” on Instagram non-stop and I finally tried it.  You order a pumpkin spice latte but sub half of the syrup for White Mocha.  It’s really quite yummy and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

These two couldn’t be left out of the fun.

Walk to school day is my favorite!!!  I get a good long walk in and these two get to spend a little extra time together.

I’ve been sharing a lot lately on things I’ve made from the Magnolia Table cookbook.  One of my biggest complaints about it is that it won’t stay open so a stand is completely necessary.  I finally broke down and got this one and I love it.  I’ve been using it for all of my cookbooks!  It folds down flat and I store it in my cabinet with my cookbooks when its not in use.

I’m room mom for this cutie and got to go in and take pictures during reading for the class site.  I’m going to miss these days.  Middle school is like dropping John off in a black hole.  I have no clue what happens there all day.  But, I’m not going to lie, I like those days too.  :-)

Have a great day!!

  1. LOVE that mirror! Just arrived on my front door step last week and is beautifully gracing our mantel. It’s so heavy that I actually put in an inquiry to make sure we use hardware that is going to support it. I was told its 48 pounds! Can’t wait to see where you decide to place it! Enjoy!

  2. I know I’m sounding dumb, but what is a “pot filler”? I’m looking forward to seeing where the pretty mirror will go also.
