We headed down to central Florida Friday afternoon for John’s one travel lacrosse game of the summer. This is probably his favorite sports weekend of the year each year. While they all love taking to the field, it is really the hours on end in the hotel pool and family dinners that make it so memorable and fun for them!
Since we were only a 30 minute drive from my Aunt and Uncle, Whit and I stole away from Saturday’s games (and heat wave) to spend the day at their home outside of Tampa! It was such a GREAT day catching up with them, swimming in their pool, touring their garden and eating all the yummy food. Whit said it was his “best day at lacrosse ever” when Uncle John even went out to get him sushi for lunch.
This morning we were done with lacrosse by 10AM and are off to Disney for a couple of days. We couldn’t be this close and not stop in our happy place. :-)
