Good morning! It’s been a long time since I’ve done a musings post. Let’s start with some of my recent favorites from the internet.

Hobby Lobby and CVS. Every time. Anyone else?!

This made me laugh so hard. Our pool serves mozzarella sticks and the kids always want them. Not just my kids, all of them. Bestie M and I end up eating at least half and then we laugh and laugh over this…

This really spoke to me. I am going to do much better about this with the upcoming school year.

The Chick-fil-A summer drink is strawberry passion tea lemonade. I love it with no tea – just strawberry passion lemonade. Our drive through line is so insanely long every time I drive by that I have not sucked down as many of these as I might have wanted to. It’s no watermelon mint lemonade from two summers ago, but definitely better than last year’s peach abomination.

This is one of my favorite images of the summer. Whit and Jay just make believe playing in the yard.

And then they come inside all hot, sweaty and tired for some puppy love.

ALL of our summer weekends in June were divide and conquer mode. Whit at baseball and John at lacrosse. I am smiling here but really I’m saying all sorts of ugly things about having to roll a FULL cooler over grass while carrying a backpack and a heavy chair. I feel like this summed up summer for me in June.

You know, when I wasn’t doing this… LOL.

One of my actual favorite parts of summer is packing up the kids and dog and heading to my bestie’s pool!

Elsa Belle has calmed down so much in the last six months or so. She’s still on her watch dog a-game against all squirrels and chipmunks in the yard.

She just had a perfect 4 year check up! Whit always goes with me. His question this time was “Why doesn’t Elsa do anything dogs do? She doesn’t fetch. She can’t catch. She likes croissants and pizza more than dog food. She sleeps in our beds rather than hers.” haha! She knows the good life.

John has holed up in the basement every chance he had. This was a necessary precaution.

And, one last funny boy story. I always check pockets before doing laundry. This was the loot from one day about two weeks ago. I mean, WHAT is even happening here?!
