We had such a FUN weekend here in Atlanta. Friday night we headed out with five other couples to dinner at Two Urban Licks! We did a tapas style diner and ordered multiples of most every appetizer and starter on the menu. Everything was delicious and I don’t hesitate to recommend it if you’re looking for dinner in that part of town. We also celebrated bestie M’s birthday with cookie cake and a brownie dessert!!!
Afterwards we headed to Mercedes Benz for the ATL Live show with Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Sugarland and Sam Hunt. It was a GREAT night of singing, dancing and getting back to my country roots. :-)
Saturday night the W family from Greenville was back in town. We split up and the dad’s took the kids and ordered in food while the mom’s got a dinner out! I have no pictures but suffice it to say the food was excellent but the company and laughs were the real star of the night!
Tonight bestie S headed back in town for the finale of Wicked in Atlanta! We started with dinner across the street at Livingston’s inside the Georgian Terrace. We couldn’t resist the Frankly My Dear cocktail. The restaurant is beautiful with a lovely view of the Fox. The food was fine – not spectacular, but you really can’t get more convenient for pre-theater here.
Wicked was sensational! The last time I saw it was in Chicago and I was pregnant with John. It was just as wonderful as I had recalled. Both Glinda and Elfaba were perfectly cast and incredible at their parts.
We have a busy week ahead before a week off for Thanksgiving!
