Musings

Happy Leap Day!! How are you spending this bonus 24 hours?? We will be at opposite ends of Atlanta for various lacrosse games. :-) I’m hoping I can get Honey to grill some burgers on the Big Green Egg tonight.

I am in love with this gorgeous shot of CeeCee by Victoria Nielson. Our tiny dancer auditioned for and got a part in a spring performance of Cinderella!

I am just back from four days in Disneyland for our annual Glass Slipper Concierge advisor meeting. I LOVE these ladies so much and all of the access to amazing experiences (like World of Color and 21 Royal) we have through this agency. Last shot is of the ZTA girls!

I couldn’t have said it better…

Somehow I thought I was busy when they were this age…. I had no idea what was coming!

“Mom…I don’t have any socks!” Go check the basement.

I loved my set so much! CeeCee still uses it at my parent’s house!

PSA: Dollar Hydrangeas are more like $1.80 hydrangeas now. But they are still stunning, a decent deal and last a long time.

On the topic of flowers, did any of you receive this adorable baby yoda arrangement for Valentine’s Day? No? Me neither. LOL

It’s time to repaint our house and I’m stuck on what to do!!! I feel like if I just go with the same colors I won’t feel like I got my money’s worth. Haha! Considering an off white for house and trim, lighter shutters and a lighter blue for the doors. If you’ve used something similar, I’d love to know the exact colors you chose!

Baby girl got a new bed for my office. She’s the cutest. And most spoiled. I want to be her when I grow up.

Happy leap day!

  1. I can totally relate to the choosing of paint colors dilemma! We will be painting our house also this year and I have researching paint colors as I want to change up as well. Currently, we have SW Casa Blanca on the body of our house and I feel like you if we are going to spend money to paint I want a fresh new look. Casa Blanca is a off white with a creamy undertone and while I don’t want a stark white I want a whiter color. We will be using Sherwin-Williams again (Super Paint) because it has held up beautifully for well over 15 years. We do power wash our house regularly and I think this helps in keeping a paint job fresh. Cant wait to see the colors you go with! We want to hold off until after the terrible pollen season in central VA.

  2. Hi Amanda,
We just painted our brick home and the trim using BM White Dove and absolutely love it! The neighbors came out of the woodwork to compliment us. We did learn to test the whites on several areas of the house under several lighting conditions. Some contenders were quickly removed from the “list” once undesirable undertones appeared. Can’t wait to see what you choose as your home projects always come out so lovely!

    1. Thank you for sharing! We have white dove on the trim now. Definitely one I’m considering!

  3. I love your Musings posts, they’re some of my favorites. I totally get the wanting to change colors thing (and feeling like you want your money’s worth). Our house has been various shades of yellow for years; we just tweak it a little bit when we paint. But I love the color of your house!!! It’s perfect!!!

  4. Exterior paint colors are so hard to choose and I went back and forth multiple times before deciding. We are building a house and have chosen a classic black and white – Benjamin Moore Cloud White for board & batten siding and Sherwin Willians Tricorn Black for all exterior doors & shutters. I had considered cream and blue or cream & gray as well and liked Sherwin Williams Alabaster (creamy white) and Benjamin Moore’s Cape May Cobblestone or SW’s Repose Gray (a favorite) for gray accents. I also loved a beautiful blue, Nantucket Fog, for shutters with stained wood doors and cream siding. Soooo many choices, good luck – whatever you decide upon I know it will be gorgeous!
