On My Bedside {The Wife Between Us}

The Wife Between Us is another good book the suspense genre I have been powering through lately. The description gives you zero detail on what you’re about to dive into, so I went in relatively blind. And, to be honest, it made the book that much more enjoyable!

There were a couple of major twists and an ending that I didn’t see coming. My only real criticism is that I am tired of women characters that lack any grit or depth. I suppose that could easily be remedied by choosing reads of higher literary acclaim. :-) At end of the day, or should I say night, I just want to read something easy that doesn’t require too much brain power. For that, The Wife Between Us is a great choice!

When you read this book, you will make many assumptions.
You will assume you are reading about a jealous ex-wife.
You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement – a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love.
You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle.
Assume nothing.

What’s on your bedside? I get all of my best suggestions from you!

  1. My book club just finished a book that is classified as narrative non-fiction, and it was a nice change from our typical suspense thrillers like the one you just read. It was Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI, by David Grann. It was a surprisingly easy read and absolutely fascinating! I had never heard of this piece of history, and I think the subject matter is very important to know (treatment of Native Americans in the 20th century).
