Patriotic Touches in the Den + Kitchen

If this isn’t a perfect depiction of the dog days of summer, I don’t know what is.

I put out my summer anchor throw pillows this week on the sofa and in the chairs. They are from Everyday Occasions.

I also made a jaunt over to Juju’s house for arm loads of hydrangeas! She had so many varieties of purples today, in addition to the blues I’ve been cutting.

I was so excited to pull out our Vineyard Vines patriotic puzzle from Target last year! Goodness knows we have plenty of time at home these days.

I keep the mini flags in my stash and reuse them every year.

I am using patriotic Happy Everything attachments on the frame and bowl in the kitchen. The jar of Key Lime Coolers from Byrd’s in Savannah didn’t last long!

One last arrangement on the kitchen table concludes this mini-tour.

All of this took just a few minutes and didn’t cost a dime. I figure since we are all home nearly all the time I might as well keep things festive! Our neighborhood cancelled our July 4th festivities so we don’t have plans. The only thing on my personal agenda next week is to watch Hamilton on July 3!! Anyone else?

    1. Thank you! It is part of a measuring cup set but I use them for nut bowls. Just the Ham previews get me giddy!

  1. Thanks for reminding me Amanda that I need to get on the ball and put out some of my July 4th decor! There is something about summer hydrangeas and July 4th that go together so well.

    1. I wish it was still being made. It is by Mikasa. I can’t recall the pattern but it is discontinued and outrageous at places like replaements.
