It’s Daddy-O’s birthday!! Here’s a never before seen throwback of the OG O Family. :-)
While there have been many disappointments this year, the one that hits me hardest is not spending time with my parents. I loved hearing about his low-key day, and just couldn’t stop thinking about how much I wish I could hug him again one day and feel his scratchy beard on my cheek. We said our goodbyes when his doorbell rang and I heard the neighbors singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I love that he’s loved. I’ve always admired that about him.
As far as life around here, this week of virtual school has been ROUGH. We had a really awful start to school once before, many years ago, and this week felt as hard, discouraging and helpless as those weeks. I’ve put on a smile and lots of fun, happy family dinners but when all the work for the day is done and I crawl into bed, all the doubts, worries and concerns creep in. I know it will get better. It has to. I’ve never been so happy to see a Friday in my life!

Dear Amanda, I love this picture! Clearly we did not plan for this photo op looking at our hair and clothes. And DaddyO! I always had to harangue him to get his hair and beard cut. He said it made him weak!😸😸😸. Thanks for this memory and your thoughtfulness.
