When we stayed at Disney’s Riviera Resort last month, one of the highlights was Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends at Topolino’s Terrace. This beautiful restaurant offers stunning rooftop views, a delicious menu, exceptional service and modified character interactions!
Breakfast is a price fixe meal with a shared pastry basket for the table and your choice of individual entrees.
We tried the Quiche Gruyère with house-made pancetta, Sour Cream Waffle, and Two Eggs Any Style. The quiche and waffles were both divine. The eggs were good, but not as special as the other choices!
The Mickey waffle kids meal is darling and delicious too! I love the attention to detail with the artist palette plate and dipping sauces.
Like with the other character dining experiences I’ve been sharing since July, you receive a darling signature card as a memento of the meal.
While enjoying breakfast and the bird’s eye views, Mickey and his friends parade through the restaurant in their stylish outfits unique to Topolino’s Terrace! Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck walk through individually, and also periodically do a mini-parade through the dining room.
While they don’t come to your table, they are adept at posing for the perfect socially distant photo. I said this before regarding other reimagined character dining, but this is SO much more enjoyable and pleasurable than everyone having to hop out of their seats multiple times during the meal for a photo. Character dining felt chaotic to be before, with the buffets, crowds and multiple photos mid-bite. Topolino’s is also just a quieter restaurant, which gave the dining experience a more upscale, elegant feel.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention this absolutely stunning views from the rooftop terrace. I highly recommend arriving early or staying afterwards for a coffee or mimosa while soaking in the birds-eye view of the resort. Fitting in a meal at Topolino’s is not always logistically feasible but, as always, I work individually with each and every client family to ensure we strike everything off the bucket list in a thoughtful, purposeful manner!
