The France pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase is my most favorite of all! I could spend all day sitting at this fountain enjoying French treats and people watching.
A relatively new addition to the pavilion, and one that has been extremely popular with my clients, is the Beauty and the Beast Sing Along Film in the Palais du Cinema.
Just inside the Palais du Cinema are six distinct gallery cases honoring the costumes, music and artwork that brought French literature to life through cinema, theater, ballet and opera. We loved seeing how these stories inspired artists from around the globe, including those who created such timeless Disney classics as Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and—of course—Beauty and the Beast.
Once you are ushered inside the cozy French cinema, you will be delighted by a 15-minute film featuring songs from the animated classic, Beauty and the Beast. As Belle and the Beast’s love story unfolds before your eyes, tap your toes and sing along to the songs you know and love like Be Our Guest and Gaston.
While in France, don’t miss the delicious ice creams at L’Artisan des Glaces. The chocolate macaron ice cream sandwich is my all time favorite Disney treat!
In the Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, you will find my honorable mention Disney treat – the Macaron with Raspberry and Lime Cream!
And, finally, nothing says luxury Disney like a glass of Veuve from La Maison du Vin.
At Les Vins des Chefs de France, a cart outside of the restaurant, the Grand Marnier Slush is a perennial favorite. There is often a seasonal slush as part of the festivals. Pictured is La Vie en Rose from Flower and Garden.
In addition to all of the treats, France’s Christmas decorations always steal my heart.
And, coming soon, is the new France expansion that will include Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and a creperie! Sister and I loved getting a sneak peek last month. Opening looks eminent, and was rumored for as early as this past weekend.
