Tony’s Town Square Restaurant in Disney’s Magic Kingdom

For years, my family has enjoyed dinner at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant in Disney’s Magic Kingdom. For some reason it has never been popular amongst Disney bloggers, influencers and fan pages, but we’ve not had a bad meal here!

Inside, Disney’s 1955 animated classic, Lady and the Tramp, plays in the background while pictures of its famous love-struck stars grace the walls. For a family full of dog lovers, we feel right at home here.

The charming turn-of-the-century trattoria on Main Street, U.S.A., has whitewashed balustrades, French doors and an expansive front porch, which offers fantastic views for people-watching. The porch and window tables are most coveted, but it never hurts to ask at check-in!

The caprese salad is our usual starter, with a pizza and trio sampler the favorite entrees. The scampi pasta and steak are also enjoyable.

Enjoying a cold glass of prosecco overlooking Main Street is also pretty magical!

The kids all love the spaghetti and meatball cupcake dessert. I mean, it is pretty cute!

We have so many memories of meals here over the years. For Sister, Mother and I, taking these two cousin-brothers many years ago is probably our top memory of all Disney trips. We still laugh – and then nearly cry – over the time they re-enacted Lady and Tramp sharing the spaghetti.

And flash forward to 2021, the dinner where CeeCee donned every possible accessory was also one I won’t forget.

If you look closely on the sidewalk outside of Tony’s, you just might find a little love note from the pups themselves!

Advance dining reservations are needed here and, as always, I handle those details for my clients!!

My family has taken five trips to the most magical place on earth since the reopening – 9 days in July, 10 days in September/October, 7 days over Thanksgiving, 5 days in January and 6 days in February!  We continue to be blown away by the thoughtful, practical and comprehensive precautions Disney has in place to safely welcome guests and cast members. I don’t have all of the words to convey how special it felt to be back. We laughed, we played, we ate too much, and we felt a level of happiness we hadn’t had in too long. I can assure you, magic is there!

  1. same!! love Tony’s and they’re always very nice and able to serve my big family group when we go there! i always thought it was a bit odd it’s not as hyped up from other disney people.. but i don’t mind bc then it gets to be our little secret! haha! and i like that it’s right in the main square.

  2. I had never read or heard anything about this restaurant, but we just went last month, and mid-way through the day decided we needed a sit down meal and a beer and somehow were able to walk in for lunch. I was worried because it was so unknown – as you said not popular with bloggers and influencers and also not overbooked. But we loved everything about it. The food was good and reasonably priced. It was a comfortable break in the a/c as well.
