Biergarten Restaurant in Epcot

Every day is Oktoberfest at Biergarten Resturant in Germany in Epcot’s World Showcase!

Biergarten transports you to a traditional Bavarian village as you feast on German fare to the oompah beat of a lively Polka band! It isn’t just another meal but a special experience you likely don’t get at home.

I love that live entertainment is still happening at Biergarten, with the show running a few times during the meal.

The food is now served family style, which I much prefer over a buffet. The tables are limited to just your party now, which is another welcome change.

We all enjoyed German fare including bratwurst, rotisserie chicken, pork schnitzel and a variety of salads. Bavarian cheesecake and hand-pulled apple strudel, made fresh daily, are on the dessert menu! And, of course, German beers!

Biergarten is one of the few restaurants available for larger parties without splitting into multiple tables. The reservation is not too terribly hard to get, but I handle those details for my clients. I think this is largely an under-rated meal AND experience and had a lovely time on my visit!

My family has taken five trips to the most magical place on earth since the reopening – 9 days in July, 10 days in September/October, 7 days over Thanksgiving, 5 days in January and 6 days in February!  We continue to be blown away by the thoughtful, practical and comprehensive precautions Disney has in place to safely welcome guests and cast members. I don’t have all of the words to convey how special it felt to be back. We laughed, we played, we ate too much, and we felt a level of happiness we hadn’t had in too long. I can assure you, magic is there!

  1. My husband is German, so we had to go to Biergarten when we went to Disney. It’s quite an experience. I think the same gentlemen are playing in the oompah band as when we went ten years ago.

    1. Yes!! Honestly, I didn’t fully appreciate this restaurant until I went to Germany. It’s really pretty authentic!

  2. Biergarten is always a favorite when we visit Epcot. I actually prefer “family style” over a buffet as well. The food is good but I wouldn’t rate it higher than some German restaurants we have gone to in different cities but the entertainment makes up for it.

  3. While the Magic Kingdom usually wins out, on the rare occasion we go to Epcot we always eat at Biergarten. The food is delicious and, coming from Austrian extraction, I do appreciate this Americanized version of German favorites. The apple strudel with warm cream sauce is my favorite, as well as the live entertainment.
