Masters Sunday Lunch

I think Masters Sunday ranks in the top five days of the year for Honey.  We attended an alfresco viewing party late in the day but had our own little luncheon at home too.

I gathered up my Masters-like decor and set the porch table with cut azaleas from the garden.

The traditional menu consisted of Pimento Cheese and Egg Salad Sandwiches with jalapeno cheddar crackers.. Arnold Palmers. sweet tea and lemonade whet our whistles.

The cups are by Catstudios and were from the Masters years ago. The tray is Nora Fleming.

I always buy Palmetto Cheese for pimento cheese. Why make what you can buy?!

Amanda’s Egg Salad

Combine all of this and serve on white bread; Makes 4 sandwiches

  • 6 eggs, boiled, peeled and chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (I use Duke’s)
  • 2 T. pickle relish (I like sweet, but sometimes use dill too)
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1/8 t pepper
  • 1/4 t celery seed

It was a delicious, easy lunch for our first day back from vacation. Well, easy if you don’t count the hours I spent cleaning pollen off the porch. :-)

  1. Beautiful table and love those CatStudio glasses…I think I need to add them. My husband takes off on Friday and enjoys 3 glorious days…we enjoyed attending the practice rounds when we lived in GA and even met Arnold Palmer when he came over to speak to our 3 (now 31 year old) who was sitting on hubby’s shoulders.

  2. I used to buy Palmetto pimento cheese until till I discovered Red Clay cheese. It’s soo much better. Give it a try!
