Epcot International Food & Wine Festival 2021

UPDATED October 2021!

The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is one of my family’s favorite Disney events and it runs longer than ever in 2021, from July 15 to November 20. Here’s everything you need to know!

Epcot Monorail

I know my monorail clients will be thrilled to learn that the Epcot line is now back after a year out of service. It feels great to take the highway in the sky again.

Pop Up Character Meets

The Epcot cavalcades have been replaced with pop up character meets throughout the park. Both times we went to Epcot we say Mickey and Minnie at the entrance. You will now find princesses all throughout the World Showcase!

Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Marketplaces

Stroll across 6 continents—and beyond—as you sample mouthwatering delicacies during Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. You will discover a cornucopia of cultures, cuisines and innovative cooking techniques from chefs worldwide. This food aficionado’s paradise is replete with delicious dishes, fine wine, craft beer, spirits and other beverages sure to satisfy every palate.

The festival is included with your Epcot park admission and nothing special is needed to explore the vent and purchase items from the marketplaces. Sister and I were excited to hit a few on our girls trip earlier this month. Here are the highlights:

Mac & Eats

  • Truffle Macaroni and Cheese with Herbed Panko – a STAR of the festival!
  • Cowboy Macaroni and Cheese with Smoked Pork Belly, Brisket Burnt Ends, Pickled Peppers, and Onion Straws

Hawai’i

Kālua Pork Slider with Sweet-and-Sour DOLE Pineapple Chutney and Spicy Mayonnaise (a favorite every year!)

The Noodle Exchange

  • Shrimp and Coconut Curry Rice Noodles with Shiitake Mushrooms and Thai Basil (delicious – will have again in September!)
  • Char Siu Pork Udon with Enoki Mushrooms, Bok Choy, and Soy Pickled Egg

Shimmering Sips

  • Mimosa Flight – Blood Orange (fave!), Key Lime (ok) and Tropical (very good)
  • Shimmering Strawberry Soft-serve in a Waffle Cone

Refreshment Port

Maple Boursin Cheesecake with Whipped Boursin Maple Bourbon Cheese and Candied Pecans (favorite dessert – recreated at home!)

Canada

  • Canadian Cheddar and Bacon Soup served with a Pretzel Roll (always a fave)
  • “Le Cellier” Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle-Butter Sauce (good, but very hard to cut with plastic)

Greece

Griddled Cheese with Pistachios and Honey (looks gross but very good)

France

  • Beignet aux Trois Fromages: Warm Beignet filled with Three Cheeses (meh)
  • Rosé Pétillant Méthode Traditionnelle Champenoise: Rosé Sparkling Wine, Pink Flamingo (ok, strawberry mimosa looked better but we’d just had mimosas)

America

We were too hot and stuffed to try anything from the menu this go round, but I have to share this amazing, ice cold airconditioned seating area for your festival enjoyment. By the time we reached America we were about to have a heat stroke. In addition to high tops, there were also regular tables with chairs. Highly recommend parking yourself in here for a while.

India

  • Warm Indian Bread with Pickled Garlic, Mango Salsa, and Coriander Pesto Dips (delicious)
  • Korma Chicken with Basmati Rice, Crispy Chickpeas, and Spiced Yogurt Sauce (delicious)

Festival Entertainment

It’s hardly a festival without entertainment. Disney has brought so many fabulous acts to this year’s lineup. My favorites are the JAMMin’ Chefs and Voices of Liberty. Try to work these into your day.

JAMMin’ Chefs (Canada Mill Stage)
This funky drumming crew breaks it down as they drum up fun in the kitchen using pots, pans and other unlikely instruments.

Mariachi Cobre (America Gardens Theatre)
Enjoy an exuberant performance of world-famous, traditional folk music.

Voices of Liberty (America Gardens Theatre)
Get swept away by inspiring vocal performances celebrating America’s spirit and beauty.

America Gardens Bandstand
Watch as local bands from across Central Florida take to the stage at America Gardens Theatre, playing popular songs of yesterday and today.

Fun for All Ages

Delight in these charming activities perfect for Festival-goers and kids of all ages. These are both favorites to add to your must-do list:

Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt

Embark on a Ratatouille-inspired adventure that’s très magnifique! Kids of all ages can search for Remy on a savory scavenger hunt around the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

Simply purchase your map and stickers from select Festival merchandise locations, including:

Next, locate statuettes of Remy hidden throughout World Showcase and the Global Marketplaces and match the ingredient stickers to your map.

Once you’ve found them all, bring your completed map to Disney Traders, World Traveler or Gateway Gifts—located at the entrance to World Showcase—and choose a surprise, compliments of Chef Remy!

Tip: You can choose your prize at the time of purchase so that you don’t have to return later.

Emile’s Fromage Montage

Your whole family will enjoy Emile’s Fromage Montage, where you can sample a variety of delicious cheeses served in inventive ways.

Purchase any 5 cheese dishes from select Global Marketplaces listed in the Festival Passport and be sure to collect a stamp for each purchased dish.

Once you’ve collected all 5 stamps, bring the stamped Festival Passport to Shimmering Sips hosted by CORKCICLE® for a specialty prize unique to the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

Tip: This year’s prize is fruit cheesecake soft serve serve in an adorable plastic wine tumbler.

I can’t wait to be back for more food and fun with my family in a few weeks! Stay tuned for additional marketplace reviews.
