Epcot’s France Pavilion Expansion {Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure & Creperie}

As part of the World’s Most Magical Celebration, the France pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase was expanded to add a darling attraction, sit down restaurant and quick serve creperie. The area is immaculately done and I love seeing a brand new addition, as opposed to a reimagining of an existing space.

We sailed into the park on a 50th monorail…

… for a “squeak peek” of the new France!!!

We’ve been taunted by glimpses from the Skyliner ALL year! Some of these I took back in January. In fact, our VIP Tour guide told us last September that everything was complete then. They were just waiting for the right time to open it. I suppose there’s no time like your 50th birthday!

The entire area is now open to all guests. No more having to wonder what’s behind those walls!

The area seamlessly connects to the France pavilion we all know and love. It is like walking down a charming French street.

Always take time to stop and marvel at the little details. I do!

Everything from the flowers to the colors to the fountain to the aroma of crepes wafting from the restaurant are perfection.

Honey, Whit and I attended the event. John was willing to miss out in order to be able to bring his buddies on the trip. :-)

Our “sneak peek” included a whirl on Walt Disney World’s newest attraction – Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure! The attraction does not have a stand-by queue. It is only accessible by Virtual Queue or Individual Attraction Lightning Lane Purchase. I’ve been advising my clients on the ins and outs of these new processes all week!

This is a darling, family friendly attraction that is suitable for all ages. I send my clients a list of movies to watch before their trip and need to add Ratatouille to that!

La Creperie de Paris is a new sit down restaurant that has been lost in the Space 220 hype. At this time, it is walk up only, which is AMAZING. I hope that new developments in Disney park touring (Genie) lead towards more and more on demand dining. Our wait was 20 minutes.

It’s a relatively small restaurant with basic theming.

La Crêperie de Paris features the cuisine of celebrity chef Jérôme Bocuse, the mastermind behind 2 beloved restaurants in the France Pavilion at Epcot: Chefs de France and Monsieur Paul. I really liked the menu options and having the choice of a la carte or prix fixe.

Honey and I both went prix fixe, including: Choice of Soup of the Day or Salade Maison; choice of one Galette with a Glass of Hard Cider, Soda, or Juice; Choice of one Dessert Crêpe. Whit chose a la carte. Everything was tasty, but the crepes are buckwheat, from the Brittany region of France, and don’t taste like what I’ve had at home or even in Paris. This is not a super delicious, amazing and memorable experience, but a decent meal. I think the real advantage of the restaurant is being able to walk up, sit down, order and eat when you’re hungry – as opposed to planning it out two months before you arrive.

If the restaurant is full or you want something on the go, just next door is the takeaway window called Crepes A Emporter.
