We spent the most amazing Spring Break week in Kentucky earlier this year, with the highlight being our day at the Keeneland races. I typically only bring home Christmas ornaments as souvenirs, but couldn’t resist picking up a few “real” horseshoes in the gift shop. I got one for each of the boys, and a third for Honey and me.
After a little research and debate, we all agreed to hang them with their points up, to capture any luck that might come our way. I hung one over our main entry door from the garage to the mudroom.
I hung the boy’s horseshoes over the doors to their bedrooms.
I love these little reminders of a wonderful vacation!

And you always hang them with the opening up, just like you have them–That’s so your luck doesn’t run out :) .
Such a great souvenir idea, Amanda! We’re ornament people too, but occasionally I’ll find that one “thing” from a place that I just have to have instead. Off topic, would you mind sharing where those gorgeous gold frames are from? Framebridge? Thank you!!
I got those at Hobby Lobby when John was a newborn!
