Around Atlanta {Bask, A Southern Steakhouse}

Orchestra concerts and lacrosse games aside, Honey and I were determined to get out and celebrate Valentine’s Day. The newest steakhouse in town – Bask – was opening just in time, and we were thrilled to score a reservation. (Located in Roswell)

The inside is sumptuous and moody, with a 1920s club-like atmosphere.

The cocktails were absolutely amazing and we agreed we should return to sit at the bar with friends. It was a lively crowd.

We started with the classic wedge and fried lobster tail. Both were excellent. We agree it’s hard to beat Daddy-O’s wedge, but this one had nice chunks of artisan blue cheese and thick crispy bacon so it was as good as we’ve had in a restaurant. I don’t often see fried lobster tails, but get it when I do. This one was served with drawn bacon butter and sorghum honey mustard – creative and tasty!

We both enjoyed our steaks (6oz filet and 12oz strip) and loved the French-style hasselback potato. Another neat item I don’t see on menus. The seafood mac & cheese was the only thing that I wasn’t wild about.

Overall, it was such a nice meal. The service was extremely attentive, the restaurant beautiful and the food good. Next we want to try their other restaurant right next door – From the Earth Brewing Company!
