Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Resort

Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Resort is a long time favorite for breakfast and dinner. Located on the upper level of the resort lobby, this relaxed café infuses a bit of Asian zest into traditional American meals.

The restaurant has recently reopened from a mini-renovation and I just love the new look and feel!

Best of all, the delicious menu didn’t change! In my opinion, Kona Cafe is often overlooked for Ohana but we actually like Kona Cafe best!

I know Ohana has a cult-like following for breakfast, but my family is not a crazy fan. For a much better (and cheaper) breakfast, do Kona Cafe!!  Our favorite order includes a shared a french press pot of Kona Coffee and Tonga Toast. In fact, my earliest Disney memories include sitting in this very restaurant enjoying that very meal! When we stayed in the over-water bungalow, we enjoyed this meal right on our private balcony overlooking Magic Kingdom. What a dream!

Lunches and dinners here are equally as tasty, and it is one of our favorite places to find sushi at Disney. Every meal for us starts with the bread and potstickers.

Of course, I love their Mai Tai as well.

We always order sushi and poke and typically share with the table.

The dashi bowls are a favorite for my boys. We also like the burger.

And, finally, for dessert the Pineapple-Coconut Bread Pudding is a must.
