Around Atlanta {Osteria Mattone}

For my birthday, the boys took me out to the most charming and delicious little Italian restaurant in historic Roswell. I love that part of town and thought it was sweet they found a “new” place for me in an area I am always drawn to.

We were there in early March for an early dinner so there were only a couple of other guests dining when we arrived. Inside was cozy. A relaxed kind of elegance. Outside there was a lovely patio with a pergola and string lights. We plan to go back as soon as spring is here to stay (we had another chilly week here) and we can dine al fresco!

Osteria Mattone features an extensive wine list and on Wednesday evenings they were doing half priced bottles on a select menu. I don’t see that on their website still, but it was lucky for us! We started with their delicious focaccia bread and the arancini for an appetizer.

Moving on to mains, between the four of us we enjoyed the pizza al mattone (hot honey, soppressata, speck, mozzarella), agnolotti di oxo (short rib ravioli) and tagliolini bolognese. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and delicious!

If you’re in this area looking for delicious Italian, we all gave it two thumbs up!
