We had a late evening flight out, so were able to squeeze in another day in Austin. We slept in and barely made it out of the room at 11 for check-out. That felt amazing!

Joe’s Bakery
We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast for lunch at Joe’s Bakery, an Austin staple since 1962. The unassuming building is home to amazing food, friendly service and a delicious bakery we could not resist.
Segway Tour
We spent the afternoon on our first ever segway tour. It was a HUGE hit with the boys and Honey. They said they never want to do another bike or walking tour again. :-) I was a little nervous about my abilities on the segway and finally felt comfortable on it at the end of our 2 hour tour. HA! The guys all picked it right up, driving me batty swerving around tight spaces like threading a needed. We loved learning about the Texas’ capitol city, life in Austin and the city’s role in Texas history.
Fairmont Austin
We called Fairmont Austin home for this trip and had a perfectly lovely stay here! The Fairmont is one of my Virtuoso network hotels and my guests enjoy some great amenities and the VIP treatment during their stay. We thought the location was great, the service excellent and the rooms luxurious. I’d absolutely stay here again and was excited to try it myself after having booked clients here previously.

We all enjoyed our Austin getaway so much – the food, music, shopping and PEOPLE were just fantastic. There are more cities on our Texas bucket-list so we hope to be back soon!
