It’s been a while since I shared my musings.
This is exactly Sister and I. So often when we are together we just cannot stop. And then it’s a scene. And our kids are mortified. And i wouldn’t have it any other way.
Who says shaved ice is only a summer treat?! It is still a favorite and one of the most-asked-for-treats amongst the teens that frequent our house. I keep a gallon zip top of frozen pucks at the ready. Learn more here:
We have a new Chinese restaurant and it’s sooooo good. The presentation is prefect, and that puffed scallion pancake is what food dreams are made of.
I’m still working with General Mills and we love receiving boxes of new options every now and then. The Lucky Charms Minis have been a hit!
I hate driving and I always have. I think it all went down hill for me when Daddy-O couldn’t understand why I drove the way I drove back at age 15. LOL. As soon as Sister turned 15 she did ALL the driving. I literally turned the car over to her, sat back, relaxed, and didn’t even notice when she was running over curbs. After a few decades, I’m once again in the passenger seat and I love it! I am trying to do a better job at teaching this baby than I did with my little sis. :-)
Mother gave me an amaryllis at Thanksgiving and it was absolutely stunning. At one point I couldn’t find a vessel to hold it so I cut the blooms in a vase.
Leanna was a precious sorority sister of mine, and one of Sister’s very best friends. It was both amazing and shocking to read this story online last week. Amazing that GT honored her with the posthumous degree, and s hocking that she’s been gone for 25 years.
Mother gave us each this for Christmas and it has already been such a fabulous conversation starter in just three weeks.
That first grocery run after Christmas vacation. Ouch. (Who am I kidding? They are all bad.)
This precious kid has such a servant’s heart. We were up and out early this weekend to play Bingo at a local retirement and memory care home. He’s worked with a number of organizations and I love that he always feels most fulfilled with the elderly and disabled young adults. And, OF COURSE, with the K-9 dogs he trains every Saturday morning!
