A date night dinner at Narcoossee’s, located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, is one of our favorite ways to spend a Disney evening! The restaurant was closed for years, and we were thrilled to be among the first to revisit when it reopened in Spring 2023. We also enjoyed dinner here last month.
The restaurant is quite small and is located in the gazebo at the end of the Grand Floridian marina dock. It is perched right on the Seven Seas Lagoon with spectacular views of Magic Kingdom.
Inside, you feel as if you are dining in a stately ship, with coastal decor, wood paneling, nautical details and panoramic views of the Seven Seas Lagoon. The observation kitchen is full of hustle and bustle.
The menu consists primarily of steaks and seafood. Favorite starters are the lobster bisque and brussels sprouts.
For our entrees, we’ve tried everything on the menu. Favorites are the new york strip, pork chop, scallops and shrimp & grits (ordered as an entree).
Narcoossee’s is also home to my #1 ever most favorite first choice Disney dessert…. the almond-crusted cheesecake. This is the sweet my dreams are made of and I missed it soooooo much during the closure. The hazelnut-chocolate bar is also good, but I won’t even share a bite of the cheesecake.
Sergio at the bar is always good for an excellent pour. This is a full bar, but I love their signature cocktails – primarily the Empress Lime Gimlet and White Sangria.
We always ask to wait on a table at the window overlooking Magic Kingdom and it is absolutely worth it. We love watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks and Electric Water Pageant during our dinner.
On the occasion the window table doesn’t pan out, you can also step outside with a drink or glass of wine!

Yes, chocolate. It’s so delicious. I love almond anything and the combination of crunchy sugared almonds on the outside with creamy almond cheesecake on the inside is incredible. Whit and I have not yet figured out how to recreate this one!
