I shared our front porch earlier this week and am back today with a little St. Patrick’s Day inside.
The kitchen is a partial construction zone, so I’ve really just thrown this together today. Here’s the new beverage bar area.
Nothing is “final” here, but I dug out boxes of blue and white things from our last house after fifteen years in the attic. It’s kind of fun to go with a new look. The festive napkin holder and mini is Nora Fleming.
The coffee and cocoa side is as cute and festive as I could muster. General Mills sent us a bag of just the Lucky Charm marshmallows, which we’ve loved using to top our hot beverages. Chocolate coins and Lucky Charms cereal bars round out the offerings.
I found this bowl in my attic stash and added a few stray pots. The shamrocks will eventually go outside but I love having them in the kitchen for March.
Finally, my corner frame got a shamrock topper (also Happy Everything) and an old picture of the boys on St. Patrick’s Day in Savannah. I put the Lucky Charms we got from General Mills in a glass jar for practical decor. And, I plucked a green cookbook off the shelf.
I have a small arrangement in the den, and also put out a couple of our favorite story books from when the boys were little.
I don’t know that the kitchen will fully wrap up before Easter so I’m trying to decide … to decorate or not to decorate. If it wasn’t John’s last spring here the answer would be easy. :-)
