Kitchen Update 2.0 {Paint & Hardware}

This little project is moving along at a nice clip. Although, it will slow down here shortly. Yesterday the painters took all of drawers and doors off to be painted in their workshop. The handled the rest here onsite. In the kitchen I went with Decorators White to match the existing cabinets. I chose a different hardware than what I currently have because I just like it better. I may slowly update the rest to match. Everything is a shiny chrome.

I chose a stock gray for the dining room. You can also get a peek at my new chairs. They are so much more manageable in size and heft for daily use! I have my upholsterer making slip covers for them as shown, and met with my monogrammer this morning about personalizing them.

This snippet makes me soooo excited! I already have the Bird & Thistle Wallpaper ready to hang. Of course, a number of things need to happen before then. The painter will give a fresh coat to the trim and under the chair rail of the same color it is now – Alabaster – even though the paper has a creamy background. I chose a matte gold hardware in here, to go with the chandelier (moved from kitchen).

Next is the electrical trim out. I can’t wait!

  1. Looks great!

    Love when home owners reconfigure spaces to be what they’ll use & not be constrained by tradition.

    Empty spot in going in back wall…wine fridge? Dog bed nook?
