Celebrating the Class of 2024 {Hyatt Rose Hall Senior Spring Break}

I thought I’d pop in today with more details on the resort! We chose Hyatt Rose Hall in Jamaica for our seniors. It is an all inclusive resort with two sides: Zilara for adults (18+) and Ziva for families. There is little to no separation between the two. Guests of Zilara can use all amenities at both.

Scenes from Spring Break in Jamaica

We used the resort’s airport shuttle to and from, for an safe, easy experience. Once at the resort, we only left once in the group for an excursion planned through the resort.

The resort itself was once a Ritz, which we visited with John when he was just 6 months old! It was absolutely surreal to be back with him on senior spring break. I couldn’t have imagined!

The grounds were absolutely gorgeous and meticulously maintained.

There were small beach areas, mostly cordoned off with rocks and monitored by lifeguards. The weather was perfection the entire duration of our stay. There were always plenty of chairs and umbrellas to be found, even on peak spring break week.

There were two huge pools – one for all guests on the family side and one for adults on the other side. Both had music, swim up bars and entertainment for a festive party atmosphere all day. Cabanas were available to rent at both, but not necessary.

The resort was all inclusive, this means select activities, all food, drinks and room service. The food was mediocre at best, with the buffet ironically being my favorite and the Jerk Hut a solid runner up. The drinks were also extremely average.

There were a variety of themed bar areas as well, with Union Jack’s being our fave.

The spa is not included, but was excellent and such a fabulous treat. Highly recommend!

My roomie an I had a swim up room on the adult side, which was heaven. I would absolutely do this again next time without any hesitation.

The rooms themselves were spacious, clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was prompt and attentive.

This was a perfect destination for our group and I’d go back with Whit’s crew in a heartbeat down the road. I would not necessarily recommend this for luxury travelers – adults or families with children – especially in the spring break season.

  1. What a treasured memory, this will be💙! It is absolutely amazing that you look exactly the same 18 years later, but I really can’t say the same for your son😁. Best of luck to him in his future endeavors.
