It’s been a hot minute since I unloaded my musings. Whit has made a nice little group of friends in high school and this couldn’t make me happier.
This little lady misses her Mimi soooo much! She gets spoiled with turkey in her meals, peanut butter kong “bottles” at night and loads of attention.
John’s friends parents dinner. The college departures have begun and it makes me so sad! Thankful for gatherings like this.
Speaking of John, he’s continued to live his best life this summer.
Our puppies cannot resist accessible food. We figured out my round melamine platter fits right in my Target float. We now enjoy floating charcuterie out of reach of the ladies. LOL.
Summer stand-by breakfast. I miss the old sausage rolls so much! But the cinnamon and lemon blueberry are still hits.

These two are happy we are back in school and they get their carpool rides. The rest of us… not so much. That alarm has been harsh.
Whit’s confirmation is Saturday so after carpool I went straight to Trader Joe’s for the pick of the litter on flowers. They didn’t open for 25 minutes so I decided to wait. As soon as the clock struck 8 I bounced out of the car only to find I had no shoes. If this doesn’t remind me of my little “Cookie” I don’t know what does. I seriously debated if I could go in barefoot, but ultimately went home and returned. As you get to the weekend, the flower aisle starts to resemble the Hunger Games. Flowers were still a success!
The packing is nearly done. Monday is the big day. I am currently in denial.

your going to need a xanax!! I sent four kids off all at different times for college all four for four years and it doesnt get easier. Cried my eyes out everytime. Now they all work in different states its been awhile so they have family now and two are married and my one son past away at 32 life doesnt get easier it gets harder for me . Never get to see them or the grandchildren but I did what I had to do they got good educations good jobs and beautiful homes. Me and my husband did are best that all you can do now its time for us again.

Good luck tomorrow, it’s so hard to send those babies off to college. You couldn’t have raised a nicer young man, he will do great!! (I’m sending my baby off on the 23rd, but she’ll only be an hour and fifteen minutes away.)
