I’ve wanted a rose bowl for YEARS! I’ve eyed the verrrrry pricey Lismore one but never could bite the bullet on the price. She saw I bought one on Amazon recently and called me to say “return that”, promising she would “find” me one. Well, I was just thrilled when Mother arrived last weekend with HERS in tow!
The bowl was originally my mom’s uncle’s bowl. He gave it to my grandmother, who eventually gave it to my mother, who just has now given it to me. She even told me the story of how there used to be a chip in the rim and showed me where it was almost imperceptibly repaired.
It is SOOOO beautiful in person and I look forward to filling it with many things for years to come. I think it is one of the most special things I own!
