Valentine’s Day Fun {Sweet & Simple Inside}

A couple of weeks ago I went ahead and added a few sweet touches to my decor for Valentine’s Day. I put them up a little sooner than usual so we could enjoy them for a good solid month.

Valentine’s Entry Decor

Over the years, Mother painted and cut the garland for me, and made the five heart canvases! I love having her creations in my home.

Family Room Valentine’s Touches

In the den I added Valentine’s candy and colorful flowers. The rose candle is the same one I’ve been using the last couple of years. It smells amazing even when not lit!

Over at the banquette I set up an old Valentine’s tic tac toe game and more candy. These gummies from Trader Joe’s are so yummy!

Valentine’s Decor for the Kitchen

I cannot tell you how much we’ve loved this repurposed area of the kitchen. For Valentine’s Day I’ve enjoyed having candy, colorful cookbooks, a lovely rose candle and flowers out.

In the kitchen I am using my Happy Everything! attachments, as always! Lots of sweet treats pull double duty as decor. A colorful cookbook from my collection is another easy touch.

The coffee bar serves hot coffee by morning, hot tea by afternoon and hot chocolates by evening. :-) It was a lot of fun to set it up with all the cute Valentine’s things. I picked up the glass stacking dishes at William’s Sonoma last fall and love using it here. The heart shaped marshmallows are from Target. I made these mugs a while back with Simply Jessica Marie watercolors of the puppies.

I bought the heart straws two year ago, but they come in a huge set and I had plenty left. I have more Happy Everything! pieces here, as well as my Nora Fleming napkin holder.

A couple of decorative hand towels hang from the oven.

Rather than hiding cute dishes in a cabinet, I love to pull them out and stack a few.

I picked up pink soaps for the season. This grapefruit scent is lovely.

I’ll share my Valentine’s table next!

  2. I love when I see art in your home and then read that your mom made it! She’s so very talented and could easily have a $$$ Esty account! I love her oyster art and I don’t even like oysters………..I have those Nora Fleming pieces and the Happy Everything pieces too. Their selection makes me happy every holiday! Thanks for sharing.
