Mother passed The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin on to me when she finished it during our cruise last month. It’s a sweet and endearing story that I very much enjoyed reading. The characters were charming and I found myself not wanting the book to end. I also just love any story set in a charming local book store and this was no exception.
A. J. Fikry’s life is not at all what he expected it to be. He lives alone, his bookstore is experiencing the worst sales in its history, and now his prized possession, a rare collection of Poe poems, has been stolen. But when a mysterious package appears at the bookstore, its unexpected arrival gives Fikry the chance to make his life over—and see everything anew.

What’s on your bedside? I MAY dive into Throne of Glass this weekend…
