Located in the heart of EPCOT’s World Celebration, GEO-82 is a new lounge inspired by the legacy of Spaceship Earth, the park’s iconic geosphere that debuted in 1982.
GEO-82 offers “a retro-futuristic setting where guests can toast to the past, present, and future of EPCOT.” The lounge’s name is a nod to the year Spaceship Earth opened, and the interior design features vintage-inspired touches that pay homage to the park’s storied history.
We visited GEO-82 with friends, eager to soak in the vibes… and the vibes did not disappoint. The atmosphere is 10/10: sleek, stylish, and filled with nostalgic details that EPCOT fans will appreciate. It really felt like stepping into a retro vision of the future, and Disney delivered beautifully on that front. The views over EPCOT from the panoramic window are just incredible.
The menu highlights specialty cocktails and small bites crafted to complement the theme. As for the cocktails… well, let’s just say they were unique. While creative and thoughtfully themed, the drinks weren’t exactly to our taste. (Sometimes unique isn’t a compliment!) We tried three of the small plates and all were very good.
That said, sharing the experience with great friends made the visit worthwhile. The setting was fun, the service was friendly, and it was a memorable stop. For now, I’m not in a rush to return. As for the rest of our night? We had a BLAST touring around World Showcase, singing out loud and getting wet in a pop up storm.
