I’m back with a few festive additions in the den as we count down to the Fourth!
A deliciously scented patriotic candle found its place on the coffee table, and I added a handful of small American flags to a vase of fresh flowers for a simple yet cheerful nod to the season.
Just like last year, our Fort McHenry flag is back on the mantle. Since we’re not using the fireplace this time of year, I love how it covers the big black hole and becomes a focal point. We purchased and flew this very flag over Fort McHenry during our 2021 trip, and it continues to be one of my favorite mementos from that vacation. I can’t bring myself to hang it outside where the weather might wear it down, so here it is, front and center and perfectly preserved inside.
