Our club hosts its big fireworks display on July 3 (it’s a long story!), so we always plan our own little holiday gathering that same night. I absolutely love adding patriotic touches throughout the main areas of our home and soaking them in for the month leading up to the big day.

In the foyer, the simplest additions brought festive charm. I tied red and blue ribbons around my loyal dog statues and tucked a few American flags into the daisy arrangement. Voila – instant Fourth of July cheer!

The biggest change you may have spied is the wallpaper! I used Christmas money from Marme and Daddy-O to fund this fun update, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how it turned out. The pattern is called Palm Damask, and the soft sky blue is a subtle departure from my usual aqua palette. I’m also in the process of having a linen skirt made for the table to finish off this space. I’ll share more details on the wallpaper soon!

Stay tuned this week… I’ll be back to share more patriotic touches throughout our home. (I say that with the best intentions as Whit and I have volunteered to teach kids with disabilities to ride bikes for the rest of week!)
