Okay, so y’all went wild on Instagram when I shared a snap from an impromptu birthday happy hour for my sweet friend L. The star of the show (besides the birthday girl!) ended up being these darling Wish Clips I snagged earlier this spring.
If you’re not familiar, Wish Clips are small plastic clips with a teeny candle attached. They perch right on the rim of a glass – so instead of needing a cake or cupcake, you can still “make a wish” in the middle of happy hour (or any occasion).
Not only are they absolutely precious, but they’re also so easy to carry around. You pop on in the tiniest of handbags, along with a little matchbox, and be ready to go for any outing. For L’s birthday, I tossed in a few cocktail napkins and a handful of confetti too. It was the simplest little setup, but it made the celebration feel thoughtful and special.
They are particularly nice for those times when you want to celebrate but don’t plan on serving dessert. Think cocktails with friends, a picnic, or even a casual weeknight dinner.
A few other fun ways to use them:
- Clip to champagne flutes at a celebratory toast
- Pop onto a beer for the man of the hour
- Add to party favors or gift baskets for a whimsical touch
- Keep a set in your bag for impromptu moments
Sometimes the tiniest touches spark the biggest smiles. And that’s exactly why these Wish Clips have quickly become one of my favorite “fab finds.”
