This past week was such a sweet reminder of how grateful I am for my ZTA sisters and the gift of friendships that have lasted for decades.
First, E, C, and I met for dinner, and goodness, it was good for the soul. These two have been part of my inner circle for the last 25-ish years. While we don’t always manage to grab a photo when we’re together, I’m so glad we remembered last week. It’s a small thing, but having those memories captured means a lot as the years roll on.

Yesterday, my ZTA Majhers group reconvened after taking a little summer break. This small group of eight pledge sisters came together earlier this year over a shared interest in learning mahjong, and what started as a one-off has turned into a monthly meet I treasure.

The first of our group to hit a milestone birthday – MW’s big 5-0! – is coming up next week, so it was extra fun to surprise her and celebrate together.

In 1994 we were just figuring out who we were, moaning and groaning about professors and excitedly examining the Sure Shot pics after every mixer and formal. Now, we’re celebrating milestone birthdays, watching our kids grow up, cheering each other on in incredible careers and finding new ways – like mahjong nights – to continue creating memories together.
