Le Cellier Steakhouse in Epcot

One of our all-time favorite Disney restaurants continues to be Le Cellier Steakhouse, beautifully tucked away in the Canada Pavilion of EPCOT’s World Showcase. We eat here on almost every trip, and our visits range from a simple soup & bread lunch to a full three-course dinner depending on the day. No matter how many times we dine here, it never disappoints.

The ambiance inside is part of the magic. The dining room is intimate and cozy, set beneath sweeping stone arches and warm candle sconces, designed to resemble the wine cellars of grand château-style hotels like Fairmont Le Château Frontenac and Fairmont Château Laurier. It feels tucked away, romantic, and wonderfully atmospheric after a busy day in the park.

Now let’s talk about the food.

Your meal begins with bread service. The maple salted butter that longtime fans loved has been replaced with an herb butter. I was a little nostalgic about the change, but the rest of my crew insists the new version is just as good.

When it comes to drinks, I personally find ice wines to be on the sweet side, but a flight can be fun if you enjoy dessert-style wines. On a recent visit I tried the Ottawa Apple and really liked it. Honey is a loyal Bloody Caesar fan.

Our number one favorite thing to eat in all of EPCOT is still the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup. Sometimes we come to Le Cellier for lunch and order nothing but soup and bread. It is rich, comforting, and absolutely perfect with the pretzel bread from the bread service.

We have also enjoyed the mussels and poutine over the years, but if you plan to order a steak, I recommend skipping additional heavy starters. Portions are generous.

For me, the Le Cellier Filet Mignon with mushroom risotto, asparagus-tomato relish, and truffle-butter sauce is either my number one or number two favorite dish at Walt Disney World. It is consistently tender, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.

Honey and the boys prefer a heartier cut and unanimously choose the Rib-Eye Steak with herbed Gruyère Yukon gold potatoes, onion-cognac gravy, and crispy onions as their favorite.

They have also tried and loved the New York Strip Steak with Canadian cheddar pretzel bread pudding, garlic-peppercorn butter, arugula, and caramelized onions. You truly cannot go wrong with any of the steak options. Between the four of us, we usually order three different steaks and share bites.

Our collective favorite enhancements are the mac and cheese and the maple-glazed Brussels sprouts. Both are excellent additions if you have room.

Dessert rarely happens because we are usually full, but when we do indulge, the maple crème brûlée is the pick.

A few planning tips if you go:

  • Le Cellier is a signature dining location.
  • Reservations are highly recommended and can be difficult to secure, especially for parties larger than four.
  • If you are visiting EPCOT during a festival, always check the Canada outdoor kitchen menu. The Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup often appears there.

We even recreated the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup at home with great success. You can find that post here:

Le Cellier remains a must-do for our family and one I frequently recommend to clients who love a cozy atmosphere, excellent steaks, and classic flavors.
