Yesterday I shared all the details of my black and white bow themed 50th birthday celebration, and today I’m back with my favorite part – the people who made it so incredibly special. Because at the end of the day, the flowers, the bows, the tent, the cocktails… all of it is lovely. But it’s the people who make the party.
Many thanks to everyone who sent photos and videos from the night. You helped me capture moments I would have otherwise missed, and I have loved reliving it all through your eyes.
Family, sorority sisters, college friends, neighbors and friends from so many different seasons of life all in one place. It was one of those rare and beautiful nights where your worlds collide in the very best way. I kept looking around thinking… how is this my life?

And then there was the photo booth. I wasn’t quite sure how much it would be used, but just like Honey’s party, once the night got going, it became the place to be. The photos are absolute gold. So much laughter, so many personalities, and just pure joy in every single frame.

One of my favorite parts of the night was simply watching everyone connect. My parents chatting with neighbors. College friends reconnecting after years. New friendships forming right there under the tent. And John’s friends, who I had just met hours before, jumping right into the mix like they had always been part of it.
It was easy. It was joyful. It was everything I hoped it would be. Fifty feels very, very loved.
