Celebrating Easter {The Kitchen}

I’m back today with Easter in the kitchen!

On the peninsula, I always use one of the boys’ Easter baskets for a sweet seasonal display. This year it’s filled with moss bunnies and monogrammed eggs, and it makes the whole space feel instantly festive.

I saved our chocolate bunny place cards from last year’s Easter feast, and they were too cute not to use somewhere. I ended up filling my footed silver bowl with Easter grass and layering them on top. It makes for such a sweet and sentimental island centerpiece, and it’s easy to move when the kitchen is in use.

Over in my little corner display, I pulled together a mix of favorites. A seasonal cookbook, painted eggs, and one of the boys’ collectible eggs from our Easter at the White House. I added a bunny to my Happy Everything frame, and all of the silver pieces were gifts from Marme.

A few other touches and towels complete the look. Mother made the linen towel, and Sister gave me the chocolate bunny towel years ago. I found the darling soaps tucked away from last year – picked up on sale after the holiday.

On the small table in front of the beverage bar, I filled glass jars with Easter candies. I tied satin ribbon around the chocolate bunnies and added edible Easter grass at the bottom. It’s colorful, a little nostalgic, and just fun.

Mother always makes the sweetest things for us girls, and this bunny was one of her gifts last year. She used pieces of her old costume jewelry for the eyes and to doll up the bow, which makes it even more special. The plate with the Easter basket attachment is my favorite piece for the season from Happy Everything. I paired it with my Nora Fleming napkin holder, a mix of spring stir sticks and Natalie Chang napkins.

The bar holds even more seasonal details. While I was looking for something else last year, I came across these old foam cups by Natalie Chang. These are the last few left from years ago.

That’s everything in the kitchen. It feels so colorful and springy, and I love how it all came together.
