Disney Cruise Line has been BUSY lately, and there is a lot to be excited about if a Disney cruise is on your travel wish list!
With itineraries now stretching into 2028, there are more ways than ever to see the world with Disney. Of course, there are plenty of the classic Bahamas and Caribbean cruises from Florida, including opportunities to visit Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Alaska continues to be incredibly popular, and availability for Europe is already limited for summer 2027.
But after spending entirely too much time sorting through all of the options, there are a handful of itineraries that really caught my attention.
From Disney Wish sailings out of New York to the Panama Canal, Iceland and a clever way to turn an Alaska cruise into a longer adventure, these are six Disney Cruise Line itineraries I think are worth knowing about.
1. Disney Wish Cruises from New York
This is easily one of my favorite additions to the Disney Cruise Line schedule.
For a very limited run in fall 2027, the Disney Wish will sail from New York on 5-, 6- and 7-night itineraries to Bermuda and Canada & New England.
Depending on the sailing, you can:
🏝️ Spend two days in Bermuda
🍁 Visit Boston, Saint John, Halifax, Sydney and Prince Edward Island
🎃 Celebrate Halloween on the High Seas on select cruises
There is even a 5-night sailing departing New York on October 31, 2027 that spends two days in Bermuda before ending in San Juan.
That one particularly interests me because I would turn it into a larger vacation. Rather than flying straight home from San Juan, add a few nights at Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Puerto Rico. Disney Cruise + Bermuda + a luxury Caribbean resort stay sounds pretty fantastic to me.
2. Southern Caribbean Cruises from San Juan
For travelers who choose their cruises based on the destinations, these are some of my favorites in the entire release.
The Disney Wish and Disney Fantasy will offer several 7-night Southern Caribbean cruises from San Juan with different combinations of:
📍 Aruba • Bonaire • Curaçao • Dominica
📍 St. Maarten • Antigua • St. Lucia • Barbados
These itineraries reach farther south than the typical Eastern and Western Caribbean routes from Florida and give you an opportunity to experience several beautiful Caribbean islands in one vacation.
There are multiple departures between November 2027 and May 2028, so there are several different combinations of ports to consider.
3. Bermuda + Both Disney Island Destinations
This combination immediately caught my attention.
On March 18, 2028, the Disney Fantasy departs Fort Lauderdale on an 8-night itinerary featuring:
🇧🇲 Two days at King’s Wharf, Bermuda
🏖️ Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point
🏖️ Disney Castaway Cay
I love that this itinerary combines an actual destination-focused stay in Bermuda with both of Disney’s private island experiences.
If you have been wanting to experience Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay but do not necessarily want a cruise focused entirely on the Bahamas, this is a really interesting option.
4. Cross the Atlantic on the Disney Wish
This one is for my bucket-list travelers!
On September 17, 2027, the Disney Wish departs Southampton for a 12-night transatlantic sailing ending in New York.
The itinerary includes:
🇬🇧 Greenock, Scotland
🇮🇸 Two days in Reykjavik, Iceland
🇨🇦 St. John’s, Newfoundland
🗽 New York City
And I would absolutely make this vacation bigger than the cruise itself.
Start with a few nights at a fabulous luxury hotel in London before heading to Southampton to board the Wish. London + Scotland + Iceland + Disney Wish + New York is a pretty spectacular way to cross the Atlantic.
5. Cruise Through the Panama Canal with Disney
Disney Cruise Line is also offering two 14-night Panama Canal crossings aboard the Disney Magic.
The November 4, 2027 sailing travels from San Diego to Galveston with stops in Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, Panama City and Cartagena before ending in Texas.
The March 26, 2028 sailing travels in the opposite direction from Galveston to San Diego, visiting Cartagena, Colón, Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada.
Both include the main event: a full transit through the Panama Canal.
These longer cruises also mean plenty of sea days to enjoy the Disney Magic, but the itinerary itself is the real draw. If cruising through the Panama Canal is already on your travel wish list, doing it with Disney is a pretty incredible option.
6. Turn an Alaska Cruise into a Back-to-Back
This is one of those opportunities that is easy to miss when you are simply searching Disney Cruise Line itineraries one at a time.
As ships reposition for the Alaska season, Disney offers 4-night Pacific Coast cruises from San Diego to Vancouver.
In spring 2028, those include:
🚢 Disney Magic | April 21–25, 2028
🚢 Disney Wonder | May 4–8, 2028
Rather than treating the Pacific Coast sailing as the entire vacation, I would look at pairing it with an Alaska cruise departing Vancouver. Suddenly, you have a longer Disney vacation that begins in Southern California, cruises north to Vancouver and continues into Alaska. This is exactly the kind of itinerary combination I love finding for my clients.
And There Are So Many More Disney Cruises
These are just six of the itineraries that caught my attention. They are definitely not the only Disney cruises worth considering.
There are plenty of 3- and 4-night Bahamas cruises for an easy getaway, 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries and cruises that visit one or both of Disney’s island destinations.
And you certainly do not need to wait until late 2027 to cruise. Alaska remains one of my favorite ways to experience Disney Cruise Line, and Europe is another incredible option for families who want to combine the ease of cruising with a destination-rich vacation. The previous Disney Cruise Line release included Alaska, Europe, the Bahamas and Caribbean among its Summer 2027 offerings.
